Hello guests!
Summer is upon us! We are a bit greener than elsewhere in the UK and blue/grey/green seas and huge skies continue to inspire our guests, along with the beautiful coastal scenery.
First and foremost, if you are in the area 8th -14th August, 10.00am-7.00pm please come with family and friends to SWMBARCH HOUSE to view our FIRST GALLERY EXHIBITION. We are proud to anounce we have Marijke Braaksma, Freddie s'Jacob and myself as painters and two new faces to the area, Henrietta Corbett and Karen Bird, both Sculptors presenting very different ideas. A chance to look at some fantastic paintings and sculpures, in a lovely home environment, with a cup of tea! Well worth a visit.
Also, for any one local who is wanting to take up the challenge of drawing and painting, please come and see what we are about. In our relaxed home you can always come as a day attendant, and have a go!
If anyone has a painting / postcard to show - please send it in.
If you are thinking of booking one of our courses, you can book to coincide with private viewings from local renowned artists such as John Napp Fisher, David Tress, Elizabeth Haines, David Light, Monica Groves and Judy Linnel, and to look forward to visiting the best galleries in the area. All the local galleries are in full swing after the hibernation, showing some fabulous, local art work; please check our Galleries and Artists Calender 2010.
I know it's a bit early in the year to think about a winter break ........but please bear us in mind! We are offering some attractive cost effective, painting breaks for the discerning artist. Pembrokeshire can be so inspirational in the winter with huge seas and brooding skies.With a group of like minded friends, the more the merrier (and cheaper!) you can come to Swmbarch House on a self catering basis with the use of a large (warm!) and well equipped studio.
